The Complete Bed
Sizing
Choosing a bed size sets both the blanket and the fitted sheet. The pillowcases are one standard Australian size, 48 × 73 cm.
Blanket: Double 243 × 180 cm · Queen 279 × 243 cm · King and Super King 279 × 279 cm. Fitted sheet: Double 138 × 188 · Queen 153 × 203 · King 183 × 203 cm, with 40cm pockets.
Reviewers regularly tell each other to size down rather than up. The blankets run generous, and a floor-draping blanket is harder to sleep under than you'd think.

Made for warm Australian nights
The whole bed in one fibre
Most beds are a mix: a poly-blend sheet, a doona you've stopped liking, cases from a different year. Every layer here is the same natural muslin cotton, so the air moves the same way from the mattress up.
8 layersEight layers of air pockets, the piece that replaces the doona. Warm without the stuffiness, and light enough to keep on in spring.
2 layersThe layer against your skin all night. Two open layers so heat moves away from you instead of banking up, with 40cm pockets that hold a topper.
2 layersTwo cases, standard Australian size. The head is where you notice heat first, so this is the piece people are most surprised by.
The doona has been ditched. Here's what replaces it.
The problem was never one bad piece of bedding. It was that the sheet wasn't enough and the doona was too much, and there was nothing in between. Three muslin layers give you something to take off and put back on as the night changes, instead of one decision you're stuck with until morning.
“The doona has been ditched! I now have three of them.”
“When the sheet is not warm enough and the quilt is too warm.”
“No more blanket tug of war.”
“Plenty of blanket for the two of us.”
“Soft as puppy ears.”
“Like sleeping in a cloud.”
“From a sceptic to a fan in 4 days.”
“I didn't think it would be this good.”
“Quality remains. Price is soon forgotten.”
“I deserve a little luxury in life, don't you?”
Why people buy
We counted every reason buyers gave, in their own words. Nearly one in ten came back for a second piece, which is the whole argument for taking the set now.
A doona set solves one night. This solves the year.
A doona set gives you one warmth setting and a cover to wash. Three muslin layers adjust with the night and the season, wash at home piece by piece, and the whole set is covered by the 100-Night Trial.
Questions before you buy
Can I mix colours across the three pieces?
The bundle ships in one colour, which is what makes the price work and, honestly, it's what most people want. If you'd like a second colour on the pillows, order the bundle in your main colour and buy a pillowcase pack on its own from the pillowcase page, where you can choose any of the seven.
Which size should I take?
Match the bed you have. Reviewers regularly tell each other to size down rather than up: the blankets run generous, so a queen bed wants the Queen bundle, not the King. Choosing a size sets both the blanket and the fitted sheet; the pillowcases are one standard size.
Is the 8-layer blanket warm enough?
For most of Australia, yes. It's the gap between a sheet and a doona, and it's what nearly all our reviews describe. If your house runs properly cold in winter, we also make the Extra Warm 12-layer blanket ($349, Snow White and Rust) as a separate piece.
Do I still need a doona?
Most people who write to us say they've stopped using theirs. That's the single most common thing in our reviews. Keep yours through the first winter if you'd rather, then decide.
What if part of it isn't right?
The 100-Night Trial covers the bundle, and we cover the return shipping. If it's one piece rather than the whole set, email hello@finefoams.com.au and we'll sort it out. We reply within one business day.
